About GRIND

Our Mission.

Based out of Columbus, GRIND is a startup fitness community bringing inclusive group workouts in a non-intimidating, and judgement-free environment. Whether you are just beginning your exercise journey or you're a fitness guru looking to switch up your routine, this workout covers all the bases! You will be thoroughly guided and motivated through 45 minutes of fun, adaptable and creative exercises designed for you to complete at your own pace. This format creates sort of a “choose your own adventure” type of experience. I give you the roadmap and the rest is in your hands! 

My classes are designed with YOU in mind. You can always expect to be offered several options based on what your body is ready for each day. The beauty of my teaching style is the focus on meeting you where you are. Maybe you want to go all out and grab that heavier weight you've been waiting to try. Or, maybe you just want to MOVE your body that day and take it easy. No matter how you GRIND, you’ll leave sweaty, and feeling empowered!

“When describing GRIND I always talk about several key things...Fun! The workouts are varied in a way that makes them fun! If you don't like a move then no big deal because the longest you have to do it is 1 min 50 seconds. Adaptable! Don't like burpees? Pick another move! Can't jump? Then don't! The classes are designed so that you can adapt them to your fitness level, or frankly, your energy level on a given day. Accepting! The people who GRIND are all ages, shapes, and sizes and Maggie is so incredibly welcoming and supportive!!!”

Hi! I’m Maggie. I am the founder of GRIND Columbus.

Throughout my life, I’ve realized I have two defining passions: staying active and helping people. From playing sports as a teenager to 15 years of working as a hairstylist, my background has inspired me to build a business that perfectly combines the two.

For years I hopped around to several gyms and tried various workouts. I always loved group fitness as I found that exercising around others to be much more motivating and also a great opportunity to meet new people!  I’m passionate about helping others build confidence and also creating an atmosphere where you feel welcomed and accepted. There's nothing I love more than hearing that what the GRIND community offers has made a positive impact in someone's life, mentally or physically. Every individual has a different reason WHY they decide to exercise and it's my goal to help you find yours.

Once I decided that creating a fitness community was my move in 2019, I worked hard to study and earn my personal training certification through The National Academy of Sports Medicine, while still working full-time at the salon. I started with virtual workouts on Instagram, moved to outdoor workouts during the summer, and formed a loyal community who followed me to an indoor space in the colder months.

And now I’m THRILLED to announce that I finally have a space to call home to continue to serve and grow this community! My new studio is located in the heart of Grandview Heights in Columbus, Ohio. I can’t wait to welcome you to the studio and have you join in a class soon!
